This Run to Remember 5k is dedicated to the First Responders and the memory of those lost during 9/11. The race will conclude at Hilliard’s First Responders Park where we will celebrate the lives who selflessly saved others on 9/11.
This 5k race has been made possible by the Rotary Club of Hilliard with the partnership of Old Hilliardfest.
Parking will be available at the Hilliard Heritage Middle School where the race will begin. A small ceremony to set the tone of the day will be conducted before the start of the race. The race will continue on to the Hilliard Rails to Trails and finish near Hilliard First Responders Park.
Vowing that "we will never forget", the City of Hilliard has constructed one of the largest memorials in the country to pay tribute to First Responders everywhere and to insure the events of 9/11 are remembered forever.
"We will never forget" is the theme that resonates with so many Americans as the great sacrifice of those who died in the shadow of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania.

After finishing the race, runners will receive a flower in remembrance of 9/11 and will be able to place the flower at the base of the First Responders Memorial. Patriotic music will set the theme of remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11.
Concluding the race we invite all participants to enjoy Old Hilliard Fest. Old Hilliard Fest features live music, great food, kids games, carnival rides, a car show, and much more.
